has an 85-year tradition of Integrity, Quality and Excellence in the construction industry.
Sorensen Gross Construction Company was founded in 1925
in Grand
Rapids, Michigan by John Sorensen and Robert Gross. The company moved
to Flint in 1927 and quickly established itself as the city’s
premiere builder. In 1966, Ghassan Saab took over the reigns and continues to
steer the company with a steady hand and an appreciation and respect for the original owners’ guiding principles.
While best known in Michigan,
Sorensen Gross has a permanent presence in North Carolina, Virginia,
Florida, Massachusetts, New York
and Minnesota and has completed projects throughout the United States,
Canada and the Middle East (Egypt,
Saudi Arabia and Jordan). Through bidding, negotiated work, and development projects, Sorensen Gross has acted
as construction manager and general contractor for a diverse list of clients including General Motors, United States Postal Service, State University of New York, University of Minnesota, The University of Michigan,
Bishop International Airport, State of Michigan, Army National Guard, municipalities, hospitals, schools, and private
corporations.
Over the years, projects have grown in size and complexity
due to modern technology, tighter budgets, and greater time constraints. Responding to meet these needs, Sorensen Gross has
grown to offer a variety of delivery methods which include construction management, design/build, IDIQ/JOC, and general contracting. Regardless of project scope and locale, Sorensen Gross is able to develop a construction
team to meet the client’s needs.
Sorensen Gross, Inc. (SGI) was established in Charlotte, NC, in 1985 with Imad Zeitouni,
President. As a full-line construction services organization, SGI specializes
in industrial, commercial, institutional, and high-density residential construction.
As an independently run entity, the Charlotte
office maintains the ability to utilize the resources and financial backing of the Michigan
operation. During its 25 years of service in Charlotte,
Sorensen Gross, Inc. has established a strong presence in both North and South Carolina,
completing more than $500,000,000 in successful projects.
Since its inception in 1925, Sorensen Gross has built
a solid reputation of professionalism, quality, and timely, cost-effective construction.
